1997 E320 W210
Aux Fan replacement
Good afternoon. I have a 97 e320 w210 and what I thought was a compressor on its way out has turned out to be the auxilliary fan behind the front grill: driver side is making telltale failing clutch sounds.

I have looked around for replacement fans and it seems they are sold as the entire unit that slides in to replace old. Has anyone every tried to just service the individual fan itself or is it woth the 200 to just replace the whole unit.
