I am annoyed of my temperature gauge always having missing pixels. How can I fix them? Not any videos about pre-facelift pixel repair on YouTube. I heard it's very difficult on pre-facelift someone told me they failed several times. Any tutorials and links to parts? US based

My E320 has 119k miles and 100% pixels are there. What kind of use will kill those pixels? I'm wondering if more you use the lights, which turns the instrument cluster on, has anything to do with pixels dying. Even day lights.

 

Can anyone recommend a LCD ribbon repair/pixel repair in SoCal?

Really don't want to send my cluster out for repair and risk damaging it (NLA Europa w463 cluster, but same as early w210 cluster))....

I also have a bad stepper motor for my tach.

 

I used a company called BBA reman years ago to fix my cluster and did they did a good job. That said, I am not sure if they are still open or not.
