Reputable EIS repair?
Hello hello everyone, I picked up a W210 wagon (1999 to be exact) to compliment my R129 and I've been having issues with losing the blower motor, cruise control, and turn signals when I go over bumps. After reading some old forum posts I've narrowed it down to either the EIS or key and I've noticed if I jiggle the key everything starts working fine again.
I've seen a couple EIS repair services listed on eBay and was going to head that route, and then get a key. Do any of you have experience with these EIS repairers?

you mean the old BS advice, I would love to learn the diagnostics you used to identify the problem, because my guess is that they are very faulty

But i according to old forum posts it's either the EIS or key. I was just hoping someone would have a repair recommendation for the EIS.

i don't have an answer to your question. i just wanted to share that i have this device which is probably a hall effect receiver/interrogator for my E320's ignition.
(CORRECTION: it is induction driven, not hall effect)
may be worth considering just to have. it is a small price to pay in terms of headache troubleshooting and time saved. the dongle took a few weeks to arrive from china

Just wanted to give an update to the the thread for any future users. I found a specialist in Escondido CA that does EIS repair/replacement. Turns out my housing was the issue. It wasn't locking the key into the switch so you could pull it out while the car was running, or bumps would wiggle the key out of the housing and then it would shut off the accessories.
Anyways the company I went through is called DiagspeedUSA/High Tech Mobile. Normally their service is $250 but since my entire housing was bad it came out to $400 because of a core charge for the new switch.
