wheels for 1999 e320 wagon
but what other offsets can be used? 32, 35, etc etc???
and i would like to get some 18" rims. any problem with 18's on this rig? or 17's?? like to go with 18, but maybe 17 is needed ??
Using non-OEM rims/tires usually results in deviating too far from the proper offset. A bad idea -- for wheel/fender interference, firstly; but also if spacers are needed it seems to me that they can put significant new pressure and stress on the wheel bearings, halfshaft components, etc... and cause premature failure.
And if you go with a bigger non-OEM tire size, then unless you reduce the sidewall height to maintain the same circumference, your speedo and odometer will be slightly off.
Lastly, larger tires/rims results in more weight -- the last thing these non-AMG chassis' need.
Look for some AMG monoblocks to make your longroof look a little sharper. They're expensive, but OEM. Good luck!
If you find 17s or 18s from a w210 they will fit. Going up in wheel size will change how the car rides but it will look nice.
