2001 E320 Sudden Power Loss and Stall
My vehicle is a 2001 E320 4-Matic with 117,500 miles. The Brake Lining Wear warning light came on two days ago. At the time of the issue I'll describe there was just under a 1/4-tank of fuel in the tank.
The car was performing fine. I made a U-turn, drove about 100-feet and all of a sudden there was no power, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and the car stalled. I pulled over on to the shoulder and let the car sit for about 30-seconds. I re-started the car and drove off without an issue
I had driven the car about 300-miles the day before without any issue (other than the Brake Lining error message). The only criticism of the long drive was at cruising speed (70-75 MPH), I'd sometimes feel a brief pulse, but it would only last a couple of seconds and never impacted the driving speed.
I appreciate any thoughts on what might have caused this. Thank you.

these and those--I gotta dream issues are extremely difficult to pinpoint and or diagnose without factory or equal diagnostic equipment and we love em because they take hours of billable hours, however if you want to spend a weekend with the grand kids trying to play mechanic then start with systems that create stalls like the fuel delivery system and of course you have all the diagrams and tools to do the 3 or 4 fuel delivery tests that may not produce any thing. Next the starting system and the same parameters apply------now what have you found out
