I was gifted this e320 by my friend who passed and we both are euro mechanics. We had it working and I was driving everyday, but after about 1500 miles I came out in the morning and it wouldn't shift. The care is stuck I'm limp mode, and now I'm stumped.

I have replace conductor plate, changed filter and fluid, and changed to a 'new' tcm. I realized one of our mistakes and put 6 qts in instead just 4, so I did get the vent hole leak for a while. Have correct level and bought the Merc dipstick, as well as the Chrysler one. I also replaced the TCM, because my Carsoft MB2 was not communicating with it. I have the same issue with the other TCM I received. Plugs are dry and clean, and open up TCM cases to makes sure dry and not corroded. I'm not ruling out a TCM issue still, but any help would be awesome.

We bought this car together to flip, but he gave it to me as payment for selling his Porsche before he passed. I want to get it shifting so I can fix the rest of the car up. I love the car, especially since it's the last of the Inline 6s.

Sorry so long just it has sentimental value and want to fix it up and keep it.

The transmission will remain in limp mode until you clear the transmission error codes with STAR.
