in my 1999 e320 wagon with Bose system
...are / is the wiring from the amp to the speakers fiber-optic? or traditional copper wire? I want to run an amp to power the oem speakers - but before getting into it
im hoping i can just use the existing wiring, vs having to rewire all the speakers with traditional copper if they are fiberoptic. i cant connect fiber optic wire to a customary 3rd party amp i get from local sound shop can i... i wouldn't think so...right..>> but so here i am asking
the D2B fiber optics for the w210 serves only to connect phone to head unit and head unit to CD changer. you can easily identify this as it sports the bright orange leads along the wiring harness (shown on the lower half of the photo) terminating into LED looking optical ends, you won't see the fiber in the speaker/amp circuit
