Fuel filter replacement
First time I'm replacing the fuel filter (2001 E320). How difficult a job and does anyone have any "lessons learned" for doing this? I checked AllData and they can supply nothing on the R/R process.

I'll be doing the fuel filter replacement this week. I have a E430, but I suspect they're the same.
It's supposed to be in the right rear wheel well behind the splash guard.

Replacing the fuel filter is quite simple, it's on the bottom of your car, right in front of the rear left wheels.
The problem is: it's quite messy (fuel pressure built up in the hose spil out!!!), this is one of the job that I would rather let the shop do, it probably take them 1/2 hour.
There's not much to learn from this job, it's just like oil or air filter replacement, just that it's way messier.
