What is this power steering pipe / line on a 1997 W210 E240?

Hi!

I have a leakage on a 1997 W210 E240 wagon. The power steering fluid was running out fast. There was a puddle of the power steering fluid under the car. I received help to wrap around two leaking points with rubber and clamp. See the photo.

I received advice that I could use cobber break line (usually for break fluid) to replace the around 50 cm line between the two leaking points. I would use break line joint to connect the cobber break line and the existing powe styring line.

I have several questions. What is this line that is leaking? What is its name and the part number?

How shall I replace the entire line? I tried searching power steering line and pipe and power steering leakage. I could not find a video that fixed the exact location as this line. Could you refer me to a video or tutorial that replaces this line?

What is the material that made this line? If I shall use a break line joint, to replace and join a cobber break line (instead of replacing the entire line), I will need to make flares on both the old line and the new cobber break line. There are only flare tools can only work with cobber line that are within reasonable prices. If the existing line is made of steel, the flare tool that I plan to buy will not work.

Thank you in advance!
