Hard time finding rear shelf speakers for my 2000 e320cdi
Hi everyone,
I am having a hard time looking for a replacement for my stock speakers (they seem to not be working or perhaps are burned from the sun)
I could not find any Bose 2ohms OEM in my region (I am in Europe)
The only replacement I saw is the 4ohms JVC from eBay, but...
¿Can I install 4ohms speakers in the w210? ¿Or should be 2ohms in order to avoid issues? I have Radio Audio 10CD OEM as well.
Thank you.

There are two styles of rear speakers, one style has two drivers in the deck, the other style is a single driver in the deck middle as part of a sealed sound box. If you have the single driver, I looked at this and luckily just found a replacement on ebay for low cost. Easy. The other style is two 6-1/2" drivers under the grills. Those can be replaced with many low profile 6-1/2" drivers - I used Infinity Reference REF-6532ex - on sale they are not expensive. Two of the older MB's got the Infinity's, one had sound box.
Those same Infinity's also fit the front doors with very minor modifications to the plastic spacer ring - I think I had to drill a hole or something simple like that.
The Infinity's fit almost perfect but I did have to do some very minor changes (but I don't remember exactly but it was trivial). One of the big advantage of those Infinity is they are 3 ohm coils and with the factory Bose head units they sound great.
Be aware there is some fun to get access to the rear deck, watch some videos or get the WIS instructions. Its all doable with a low cost trim kit and simple tools.
