Modern Garage Door Programming

Mine is a 2000 E320 wagon and it came with the garage door opener in the mirror. Ever since getting those new liftmaster garage door openers with the yellow programming button and the myq app, I haven’t had any luck with the normal programming sequence. Am I doing something wrong or is the car just too old for these new openers?

You need this. Your Homelink transmitter is too old to support garage openers manufactured after 2011.

Yeah, the newer more secure Security+ 2.0 protocol is not supported by older Homelink transmitter.

They used to send you one for free, try calling their customer service first before buying one.
