E430 4Matic Trans Clunk
Hi All:
Been searching the forum but so far I didn't find what I was looking for. My 2000 E430 4Matic (83,000 miles) has a rear clunk when the trans down shifts into second, as in when coming to stop. Like an older America can Ujoint issue. Have not been to the dealer or wherever yet to try to diagnose the issue.
Trans was flushed with a new filter around 68,000 miles. The faster I stop the worse the clunk. But that makes sense to me.
This is my 4th Benz. In the past I've had to change the flex disc but those were 2WD versions.
Has anyone had this issue?
