all windows open trick
i can not get my car to do the push the charcol button to get all the windows to go down. i have a 1999. anyone care to give me specfic instuctions?

I only know how to do it with the smart key.......

I think you mean "tunnel mode". This feature was standard on all E-classes starting in 2001, it wasn't available yet on your 1999. You hold down the air recirculation button(not the charcoal air filter button), and the windows and sunroof close, not open. On your car however, if you want to close or open the windows and sunroof, stick your key in the drivers door lock and hold it to the left for the windows/sunroof to open, and hold it to the right for the windows/sunroof to close...
