Rear Door Lock Accidental Issue

Make a mistake because of the frustration I was having with the air locks, I unscrews the black cap of the rear left door of my w210 and now I can't open the door. Can anyone help me? Is it even possible to remove the door panel with the door shut?

Thank you in advance.

My brain is picturing your description as having unscrewed the black thumb pull which push/pull...locks/unlocks the door at the top of the door panel.

If so, simply find a soda straw as large a diameter as possible to insert into the thumb pull hole ....and navigate it over and down onto the threaded rod. then, press the unlock switch on the front dash panel.

I don't understand why the dash un/lock switch wouldn't unlock the LR door unless the threaded rod is hitting the door panel and prevented from unlocking.....or, you're describing something else as "the black cap". photo ?
