2001 Mercedes E55 AMG

Transmission issue

I have a 2001 Mercedes E55 AMG and this morning i was moving my car out of the drive way and then went to back into my drive way, it would not go in reverse. So i tried to place the car in drive it would not go into drive gear. So I ran for codes turned car of and it shifted fine multiple times with no problem. Transmission made no noise of any kind and shifts smoothly. I just had the transmission and rear diff service performed in October 2023.any advice you could give Thanks Alex

Sounds like if you already note the codes, it might have given you a clue ... ?

sounds like the conductor plate needs replaced, it’s a maintenance item , turning car off gets it out of limp mode for a few min so that’s why it would go into gear and move temporarily
