W210 E200 USED
Hey there.
New here and just bought a 2000 e200 facelift , manual , from an old guy with only 101.000 km . I have to issues that are trying to figure out. I read all the stickies and didnt find something that is seems its my issue.
Issue No1 is that the cruise control doesnt work. The lever works fine and the speed LIM light is come on , on the screen , i change the speed that i want to set but when i push the lever in the led light on the lever doesnt turn on and doesnt do anything. If i choose a lower speed than the one im going the car decelerates though. The lever and the gauge cluster is the same with the one one the link
,
Issue No 2 is that the trunk doesnt lock/unlock/open from the key fob nor from the button inside. I can open it manually with the key. I will try to swap the pressure hoses on the pump under the rear seat and see what happens but any ideas will be more than welcome. The light inside the trunk works and the red led light on the trunk button comes on when i open the trunk manually.

Issue 1: cannot help you except to say, "Put the car on a diagnostic system and verify switch values".
Issue 2: If vacuum actuator for the trunk release, relatively cheap repair if you count your labor as free. If vacuum pump assembly with its internal solenoids, more expensive. You can troubleshoot the vacuum lines using a "Mighty-Vac" or equivalent tool to pull vacuum or provide pressure.
Just in case you don't know, if you pull the trunk light switch out, it will turn off the light even though the trunk is open. Comes in handy if you need to leave the trunk open for several hours.
Try reviewing the two photos and the two attachments to see if they help.

Out Of Control!!
issue 1----you either have a faulty combi switch or a faulty ECU and as post 2 suggests you will need a factory equal scan to determine the applicable fault.
PS---in reviewing WIS please note there are many CC types controls based on engines therefore be careful of who you take your car to and make sure they have the experience because it is a complicated system

Thanks for the replies guys. I took off the rear seat and checked the vacuum pump and the hose that was coming from the trunk was not attached anymore because the plastic tip of the pump connector was broken. Im waiting for a new one and i hope everything will work fine after that.
I guess i will have to check the cruise control issue at a Mercedes shop or a dealership.
Thanks guys.
