1994 E320 Won't Rev Past 2300rpm
I had the transmission rebuilt on my 94 E320 and now it won't rev past 2300rpm when in drive. When I put it into neutral, it will rev as high as I want it to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

you need to quickly return the car to the bicycle shop that rebuilt and installed your transmission and have them fix the problem-----hopefully they have the factory diagnostic software HHT/DAS to start the process

x2 on returning to the shop. MOST, and I said most shops have some kind of warranty on their work. Again, that's most, not all. If it's indeed the shop did the work, then take it back. Drive, tow or pull, return to them.
As I am no MB mechanic, I do/did have my share of horror story, either by the shop or by myself. If your trans have low fluid, car just won't go anywhere, but it will rev (but if this is the case, chances are your pump is toast from low fluid). But I am no MB mechanic so our trans could be different.
BTW, trans is not like engine. You need to take it to shop that know what he/her is doing. You can't take it to just any automotive or trans shop. That's why I do most of my own trans work. As much as I hate to work on sloshbox, I have no choice as I live in middle of nowhere and I/we don't have any good shop around. Fortunately, my trans in 2000 E320 is still going strong. But I feel that it probably needs my attention soon.
Anyway, take it back to the shop ASAP before their warranty expire.
