722.6 torque converter

So I’m doing a rebuild on my 722.6 trans in my e300. I purchased a torque converter that was supposedly for my vehicle but once I got the old one out I realized the part numbers are not the same. After some searching I believe the new converter I purchased is a replacement for an e320 v6, and I of course have an e300 with the om606. My question is; can I use this torque converter without issue on my car? It seems the be the same size all around but I’m not sure with the differences in rpm between a diesel and a gas engine that my stall will be correct. The original part number on my converter is 210 250 06 02, and the new converter is numbered 210 250 07 02. Please if anyone could give me some knowledge on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you <3

your in the right pew but wrong church-----take the old part number to any dealer then have him show you all the part numbers that superseded yours and on that list, if any, does the purchased converter part number show up on the superseded list---if so it will work-----if not join the weekend wendy parts club or use it as a bird feeder---the good news is now you have a list of converter part number that will work on your car

Torque converter stall speed is determined by the torque curve that engine produce. I believe diesel engines produce their torque way lower than gas engine. Just like fuel, gas and diesel don't mix well.

Trust me. You don't want to put gas torque converter in diesel engine, or diesel converter in gas. I have enough experience with wrong stall converter from the past with domestic V-8s. And that gas engine with gas converter. Believe me, it's not fun.
