Ignition Key Switch for 1997 E 320
My key is hanging on my 1997 E320 when I put it in the ignition.
I believe the proper way to replace is to put it in aux and depress through a pin hole. The ignition should pull out.
Has anyone changed the swith and how big a deal was it.
Does anyone have photos of the removal?
Can I rekey the ignition to match the doors?

You need a special pulling tool for the tumbler. It is like a large socket that fits over the top to pull it out when you push the pin in. You can order a new tumbler to match the keys you have with the VIN number at the dealership. Talk them in to swapping it for free...
