Rear Axle Impulse Ring Replacement

Hello, I have a 1999 Mercedes W210 E300TD Est. that I want to replace the rear impulse/reluctor rings on. I haven't done this job before but plan to remove the various control arms to gain access to the half shaft. One point that is nagging me is the correct torque for the axle nut. The EPC/WIS gives 2 different torques for the 210.0 either 220 or 320 nm depending on if it has 'special protection' or not. What are they referring to by this phrase. Also they talk of self locking nuts or not. I assume that the non self locking is the one you knock the tabs back into the axle notches but what is the non self locking? Finally another section of the WIS refers to Model 210.2/6- what is this?

Probably obvious when someone tells me but.......

The UK is getting a bit like I may need an armoured vehicle! Thanks Plutoe. Do you know model 210.2/6?
