Radiator cooling fans on 1998 4matic not kicking on and belt is off track
Furthermore when I went to several different parts yards I noticed that I could not find a single car with this double set of fans in front of the radiator. I looked at a couple e320s and my only guess if they get snatched up quickly.
Could this possibly be connected to the AC. The car does not seem to be overheating. This is just one of the many things I'm trying to fix one after another. Thanks in advance

As for AC not working, it MAY be related. but first thing first, have you connected the manifold and read the pressure? Or at least check if the AC compressor kick in? If not enough gas, compressor will not kick in. The system does have pressure sensor and if it's under certain pressure, it will not operate. Next thing you can do is run the diagnostic with your AC control. Someone can chime in how to do it, but you can also run a search. It has been covered many time. I was one of which who was helped from that. But sorry, I forgot how to run it.
If everything checks out and you still don't have AC, then my wild guess will be that pressure sensor gone bad somewhere in the system. But first thing first, check your AC system.
BTW, if your belt is off the track, it doesn't hurt to put it back on, even if it's not overheating. If you're not sure how to do it, Pelican Parts have nice write up about it.
