Rear Window passenger window went "CLINK" and Dropped
I was in the parking lot last night and try to get some snow off my rear right window, when rolled down and up..then all of the sudden I heard "clink" ,then my window won't go up anymore, only goes down. I had to drive it all the way home while snowing... what a timing.
I have read about all the bad regulator and plastic parts inside. So I took the panel off last night and saw some broken pieces of plastics, a metal piece and couple of wires with spring attached at the end. Cannot picture what was it looks like before broken! During the panel off process, I only broke one plastic clip, not too bad, I guess I can get that at the dealer?
Does any one here have the picture of the assembly process or clear view of the picture when assembled?
thanks for your help.

part just arrived
I just got my window regulator, will try to install that today, hopefully won't be too difficult. Look I need about 5 rivit points. I borrowed a rivit gun from my buddy. will see today. there is also a moisture barrier (plastic stuff) between door panel and body. I guess I'll use 3m glue spray. glue it back.

if you do alot of your repairs yourself you should spend $25 online and buy a subscription to www.alldata.com. You can get an online version of the repair manual including all the TSBs issued by MB. I bought one for my car and have literally saved hundreds of dollars and hours of time by just knowing exactly how things come apart and go back together - no guessing. It includes full drawings, schematics, and part numbers.

Welcome to the Club
This is a known flaw in the W210; happens to everyone. D-C is aware of it. I've known some folks who've successfully convinced the dealer to fix it even after warranty, but that's a case by case issue.
I've seen step by step instructions here in the forum on DIY repair. If you plan to keep the car long-term, it's probably a skill worth learning.

All Done!
yeap, got it all done yesterday, it wasn't too difficult except pulling the door panel off without breaking the clips. Using the rivit gun and drilling wasn't too hard, except my rivit gun was shape like a plier and hard to squeeze. But overall not too bad of a job, took about 3 hrs all together, and all depends on the door panel. Sure save a lot of Money!!!$90 vs $360 at the dealer.
