Anyone had any experiences with SouthwestRe "First Automotive" Vehicle Service Contracts administered by First Automotive Service Corporation? Good/Bad?

Neice is buying used car and they offered a 2 year/24K mile full-coverage warranty for $895.

extended warranty

I paid $2500 for a 45K mile warranty that covers all but the most minor problems. Don't know if that helps, but there you have it.

Warranty Direct

I purchased a 50k or 5 year waranty last month. It cost $2100 bumper to bumper with a $200 deductible. The $0 deductible costs more. I bought it in the case of a transmission AC or engine problem that could be costly. They are on line. I can not vouch for there service as I have not used it yet. I called the accounts receivable department at the local dealer though and the woman told me they paid well.

I bought a 4 year 75,000 mile from autowarrantybrokers.com for $1,300 with a 25$ deductible.
My MB service writer recommended them from his experience.

The big questions are, how long has this company been in business and how long do you think they will be (at least till your warranty runs out). What is the age of the car ,true coverage, deductible, and exclusions. It is pretty cheap for "cover everything", check the better business bureau. In most of these, the seller gets a comission, and you might have to negotiate the repair. Did you find them on the Internet?

Not sure exactly where I found them. The clincher was the MB guy recommending them as the best he's dealt with. Maybe he got a cut - I won't care until they don't perform.

I get the chance to check them out this week, my driveline is making some ugly noises so I will report back as to my experience with them.

Turns out the noise was related to some loose bolts on the sway bar and driveshaft. No cost to tighten beyond the $390 B service.
