I has been done but unsafe and requires a special bolt to be safer. Our cars use 12mm bolts whereas the W211 uses 14mm bolts with a different lug seat. Smaller bolt in a bigger hole and improper seat. You can however, find replicas that are made specifically for our cars.

Paxfo, here's some more discussion on the bolt issue (on one, I've shown the differences in the ball seat).....scorchie knows what he's talking about too
