Key Fob ou but radio still playing!
This is on our 1998 E320.
My son had used car and parked it driveway just outside the house. I could hear music playing and assumed it was either him in another part of house. But it seemes to come from outside. Maybe a neighbor? Checked it out and it was coming from our car!
He had turned the igbition off in the normal way, removed the key Fob and brought it inside. Yet radio stayed on!
He went out, reinserted the Fob, started the car and then turned it off again. THis time the radio went off.
Just wondering how this could happen!

One solution is to go to the dealer and have them analyze using their version of xEntry. Then install new ignition switch or whatever. All at great cost.
Second alternative is to always turn the radio off before leaving the car! Not 100% foolproof for us, because the volme control is tempremental and even without sound, the radio may still be on.
Some thought the problem may be due to wear on the fob slot that might allow the fob to be removed before it is completely turned to position O.
