99 320cdi egr shunt problems

99 320cdi egr shunt problems
1999 e320cdi I've been having egr trouble for a while,I removed it and cleaned it out but was still getting the black smoke and it wouldn't really start going until 1500rpm ,so found the shunt post ,I've now blanked the egr before the cooler and fitted the shunt,but if I have to stand in traffic I get limp mode and an egr insufficient flow code ,I've rechecked everything but I'm pulling my hair out,any pointers on what I've done wrong

Fixed faulty afm, shunt works fine now,no more rolling coal
