New goodies in my ride..
Just got my car back from a usual service ( oil and flushing gear box oil, filters, etc) and decided to put in some added stuff..
tyres were gone (Yoko's AV100s), so I've gotten dunlop's new Direzza DZ101 from Japan. Can't compared it to the Euro tyres, but i got it cheap with new techonology, so hoping it will last well..so far I'm just riding in the tyres, but its been good..
Blistein Yellow shocks! Now this really makes a difference for the car! I've used back the avantgarde springs, and it flies at corners..corners i usually do 80km/h before felt like the car was wobbling and shakey a bit, but with the bilstein, I'm doing 110km/h at the same corner, and it feels solid . The ride has also improved..softer, comfortable ride..I thought changing shocks wouldn't make a diff, but man, it sure feels good! recommended to all!
problem with my ETS/ABS light coming on was fixed by changing a stop light swicth ( US25 ), problem has gone away like the dodo.
brake discs for the front were gone too, so had to change those, and skimmed the rear, but will probably change them next time...still waiting for them brembos..:P
hopefully will take some nice pics once I've sorted the paintworks..

Check if Black Diamond has disks for our car. I´ve put a set of these on my race Toyota Corolla just slotted working with Ferodo DS3000 and it´s braking is phenomenal.
Im using ATE powerdisks, but im not very happy with them, they make alot of noise and can t handle well the Ferodo DS2500 im using....I would rather prefer the OEM disks to these ATE im using.

They work just fine for me, much better than OEM - I would recommend them based on value for money alone. I don't think they have an application for anything larger than an E320, but I may be wrong.LorinserLV2, I bought the Max's in HK, as with the SS hoses - had an earlier post with all the details. I'm not sure what my mech uses for the fluid but I would assume the original stuff as he would prefer to use OEM products for consumables.
Yes, the Max's do wear out to the bare steel color. Mine were actually greyish when new, not the black pictured (they come in two different colors). The idea is that there will be protection from corrosion where the pads aren't in contact i.e. not a cosmetic feature. One of the slots are supposed to wear out completely to indicate wear too (my other post has a link to a US site I think).

What's wrong with your paintwork? Hope it gets fixed soon.
Sorry to hijack your thread again Karlsson.....:v

changed to the avantgarde 2 years ago when i swapped my 16s to 18s...tried KWs at first but it was too low, the avantgarde gave me a nice low height, but not too low for our lousy pot hole ridden country!
they guy that fixed my bodykit did a lousy job ( dots here and there, and one hell of a lousy polish job ). He admitted it and told me to bring it back when I was free, coz i was rushing them to finish the job as i needed the car...anyways, hoping to get it done soon, and get the fron avantgarde grille sprayed too..
I heard it would do wonders with eibach springs ( or others ) but since my avantgarde springs are only 2 years old, I thought of just keeping it..
jimmy, springs are original merc avantagarde..
richard, never thought driving at corners would be so much fun ( especially in a benz! )
