New to the 210 world
I am new to 210 ownership and loving it so far....I recently bought a E320 Black on Black. Time to get some mods going. I think tonight I am going to debadge and I would also love to take the front license plate holder off if it won't leave to much of a wound. Anybody removed one of these things? I haven't even looked at it up close yet but I thought I would ask first before I screw something up.
Anybody here have 18's on stock suspension? How is the ride?
My 124 has Bilstein/HR combo, not sure I'm ready to get into that with the 210.
Thanks for your help..
She's pretty bone stock at the moment with the exception of the burlwood shift knob I installed this past weekend.
here are a few photo's from the original owner.

I have 18" rims on lowered springs with Biltstein SPort shocks and the ride is ok. It is a bit firmer than stock but the difference is noticeable on turns.
Regarding the debadging, make sure you use a flat, blunt awl to take off the emblems shimmying from one side to the next so that you don't lift only from one angle. Remember, a little bit at a time from all four angles. The license plate holder is a snap to dismount. Only four screws hold the whole thing together. The actual license plate holder has the longest screws and they do puncture the front bumper so you'll have two holes to contend with. In my opinion, the front end doesn't look quite right without the license plate. My ride has the license plate minus the holder. I just mounted the plat for a flat, clean look. Just my two cents....
Thanks for the welcome, Have any pictures of your ride?
MBZ12,
Thanks for the welcome, I pulled the front plate holder off last night. I know what you mean about the screws holding it on. I didn't get a chance to debadge last night but I'm sure it will happen tonight. When I debadged my 300E I used dental floss soaked in WD40...as suggested by JCE on Mercedesshop. It worked well !
I like your idea of mounting the plate without the holder. I think I just may try that!
