Brake Pad Replacement
After much trepidation, I embarked on a do-it-myself brake pad replacement on all four corners on my '02 E320 this weekend. I was amazed at how simple the swap was. At the same time however, I realized stock brakes are very small and maybe too simple on this car. I now ponder the idea of installing a bigger brake set. Time to run a search and see what other members have done in this area.....

I have the 02 also,was thinking of a change for looks really,not persormance.I did do the Porterfields and would use them on a bigger set of brakes,because they are clean running.I remember seeing a few people here have done brakes,no problem getting input.
My .02$,,I would go Brembo,drilled,red calipers,maybe yellow.
(they dont come yellow tho)

If you're gonna get bigger brakes, i believe you need to get bigger diameter rims for your tires otherwise it's gonna grind the rims inside against the calipers

If you guys have an 01+ E class the rotor sizes are below. I haven't had luck finding front drilled rotors for my 01 E430 as all places have them in 300mm. Believe me I have tried to locate 316mm front's at ajust about all the places that sell drilled Brmbos. I think MikeyE430 had a similar issue till he found out he had 300mm fronts on his 00 E Class.
Front: 316mm
Rear: 290mm
The only place I could find the fronts in drilled 316mm's are on www.brakeworld.com but they sell rotors made by DiscItalia, which is a brand I don't know much about.
Another option I am looking at is the C32 Brake Kit which isn't that costly compared to the other BBK's.
I also came across this thread on another Benz Forum, sounds like another option for our W210's. I am awaiting the member to post more details:

Argggh! Just get the C32 brakes, they're nice and imo give you the best value for your buck, by a long shot, compared to the other BBKs. With E55 ones the possibility of needing a change of wheel in most cases (unless you have AMGs) is more likely and the W210 E55 brakes aren't drilled like the C32.
