Eibach springs "problem"!
One of my 1 month old front Eibach springs broke in two places..
Is this seen before ?
Riding on stock springes again.. (arrgg 1000$)
(Its 850 km away from home)
(he dont know yet)
even if its Avantgarde .. do you know how low that is compared to elegance
I would like to put a claim somewhere..
Since Steve put them in he (and bought them) he has the original bill.
I will hear Steves opignon about what he think should be done.

He will try to get me fully compensation from Eibach.
If that dont work he will at least pay half of the bill -if not it all.
Good and quick service.. i truely cant expext more.
(But it leaves me on stocksprings .. where i started -and not lowered as i wanted)

Don't let that get you down. If you were happy with the drop and ride, why not get another set of Eibachs (but I'm sure they'll just replace it)? I'm happy with the ride and handling but not too pleased with the front being a little high compared to the back but with spring pad compensation, its acceptable...what's more important is the ride and handling suits me fine.
Oh, BTW, I can't really remember how much lower the Advantgarde springs where compared to the std springs cuz I changed my springs after one week of getting the car
Anyways...I have been on the phone today with the suplier, the manufacturer and with Kim. The manufacturer wants to see the springs to what could have happened there and depending on the outcome of that - they will refund the costs made. And if they don't refund anything at all, we will refund at least half of the costs ourselves...
greetingz,
But What .. is it not eibach ??.. i dident know that..
Im sure i would have remembered.. and not sure if i wanted them if i knew
I knew that the springs was cheaper that expected.. but not that is wat not eibach i got..

I think my Eibachs are black (been a while since I looked in there).... not sure if they even make them in red.
This is off topic.. but my exhaust is ratteling when warm.
I havent been able to find any posts.. but i know they r there..
Cau u help me find the way..
/kim
(thanks to Steve, he's openned up a whole new source of parts for me
).BTW Kim, I see there is an importer for Eibachs in Denmark already, not to take biz away from Steve (and I have no interest in doing so) but wouldn't it be easier and quicker going thru that route?
As for the rattling exhausts, I prefer to keep quiet on such matters....I'm sure you know why
. The first thing I'd look for are the mounts....check the rubber band things that your muffler hooks on to, they WILL fatigue over time and maybe snap off and your muffler will obviously wobble more than usual...quick easy find and fix if it is that. Not sure about the warming up bit tho....could be more technical matters but that's not for me to comment.....
I will wait a while and se where this Steve ends up with the springs.
Of cause i chose Steve to do the lowering.. who else ? Its only a 850km drive.. ..
-no- i rightly trust the guy -and the whole operation.
and as i did go there for my second major mod.. it was a no brainer.

I will try to get as much compensation from the manufacturer as this is quite obvious a manufacturing fault...
I will keep you updated about it Kim and will figure something out for the follow up lowering as well.
greetingz,

Is that rust I see in the exposed metal???????
