Auto Trans level check

What do I need besides the dipstick to check the AT level? Is there a special tool needed to remove the filler Cap?

You Will Need the Factory workshop dipstick and the Tamper proof plug for the transmission filler tube..Make Sure that you check the Trans fluid WARM!
The Tamper proof Plug can be removed by knocking out the insert on the cap..

So you have to replace the tamper proof plug after you tap in out? I'll need to buy another one?

Yes the Tamper proof plug must be replaced....

when i had my tranny problems, one young dude came out and showed me how to take it off with a flathead and he put it back on after. i dont remember how he did it now w/o looking but i dont think you have to break it to open it.
