Exclamation BAS/ESP lights

Out of no where, I get a BAS/ESP lights indicating visit a workshop !! Then when turned off the car and back on, the BAS/ESP message went away. I looked it up in the manual, it says possible erruption in voltage due to weak battery. The battery is fine, I did a ESP syncronization by turning the steaaring all the way to the left and then all the way to the right. What could this be other than possible weak battery which is not in this case ??

S, GL, Escalade ESV, my shoes
brake light switch, it's on top of the brake pedal. Yours is probably jamed or stuck once a while.

$14 at dealer.

It could be the battery. Is the battery the original? Did the malfunction occur during startup or when putting an electrical consumer (heated seats, climate control, etc.) on line? If the voltage drops below 10 volts, the malfunction will occur. I just went through this on my 1999 E430. During the start cycle it would momentarily drop to between 6 and 7 volts. With a new battery it stays above 10.5 volts. I did not notice anything that would indicate the battery was going out before the malfunction.

It happened after driving the car for about 15 minutes while the car is moving. But it never happened again. It is th eoriginal battery. Car has about 48k miles on it.

Check your manual for the ESP sync procedure. I have an E320 2000, if the ESP light comes on, and if th elight goes off by itself, you may need to sync up the ESP by turning the wheels all the why to the left and then all the way to the right. That is it. ESP is the stabilizer option on the vehicle used to during wet/snow road conditions.
