rust repair update
My MB dealer came through with flying colors on the rust repair. Probably should have painted the whole car.
If you have a rust problem, regardless of miles or year, I strongly suggest you get to your dealer now. MB is aware of the issue and are dealing with it.
I guess I can understand why MB is getting hammered over quality. Think their stock took a hit the other day and it was because of Chrysler. In fact I think Chrysler is saving their butt.

My Rusty Car
Have a look at "My Rusty Mercedes". This is a 1997 W210 / E320 with 170000 Kil. on it. Always babied. Just unbelievable for a Mercedes.......I have been trying to get this issue dealt with by Mercedes for MONTHS. Nothing but a run around. The .tiff's have notes attached, but you may need Photoshop to open them. I removed the front bumber and the headlights. There is even rust UNDER the sound deadening on the hood and inside the trunk on INSIDE panels not even close to the outside. Just awful!!! ftp://secondnature.homeip.net/
