Hey Guys, I know it's been said before that you can't add an aux into the pre-99 models' stock units, except through the CD changer. My though is this, and maybe it's way off base, but what if there was a way to take the integrated telephone setup, and used it's inputs for an external audio source? Just a thought, because I need an input badly and might have to resort to RF modulation otherwise.
Thanks,
Marcus
Don't go w/ RF modulation, it onelike, like those from Sony), open the up the top of the head unit and run the wire via the top to the back down to the ash-tray), connect it to a female-female 8mm adaptor and mount that adaptor somewhere (I mount it right next to cigarete lighter), and you have an awesome aux port (used via cassete mode) that could be used for anything (iPod, phone, jukebox ...), and a clean interface (nothing is seen in casette..). Not to mention is sound is awesome !!
No one use cassete nowaday anyway.
Here's what I did to mine (and connect it to a jukebox), used via cassette mode. Good sound quality
