Any pointers for a DIY rear shock replacement?

It seems pretty straightforward since there isn't a spring to remove to get to the shock. Do I just loosen the nut at the upper shock mount then lift the car allowing the suspension to drop followed by loosening the lower shock bolt? Thanks for any tips.

I don't know, it looks straightforward cuz i was thinking the same thing since i want to replace the shocks myself but i don't want to risk myself of getting myself kill if anything goes wrong while i'm under the chasis.

Yes, with the wheels on the ground loosen the shock upper mount. Raise car into the air and allow the suspension to drop. Remove lower bolt, remove shock. Replace in reverse order. It's not that hard, I just replaced the shocks on my C43 last week with Bilstien Sports. I did not think my old shocks were worn but what a difference it has made. What shocks are you planning to use?

Thanks for the help. I'm going with the Bilstein HD. As far as I know, the sport shocks should not be used on stock springs. They are designed for a lowered suspension like yours with the AMG springs.
