What should I do about my oil?

Yesterday I was driving to work and my "low oil light" came on. i was close to a Mobil gas station so I stopped there. I've been using Mobil 1 syn 0-40w in it for the past year but they only had mobil 1 syn 0-30w. So I put in a quart of that and now I'm questioning what I did. My oil change isn't due for another 1000 miles but I'm considering changing it now because of the different oil that i put into my engine.

Should I change the oil now or is it ok to wait anither 1000 miles? Will one quart of a different weight oil make a harmful difference?

It's fine.
Just wait the 1000 miles and change accordingly.

If you have a 99, then I guess you are going by the FSS intervals which are 10k but vary on driving style. Within 10k it is more than acceptable to burn some oil, so i think thats why you see its low on oil. YOu wouldnt notice the loss if you changed every 3 k like a conventinal car.
