Does anyone have the MB V710?
If so, does it have the same features disabled as the version purchased from Verizon?
For example, can you download pictures with the mobilePhone computer interface?
Thanks,
David

I have a few of the MB V710s. I don't know how well it works with the computer tools stuff. I do use the MB V600 and it works fairly well although reception isn't the best.
Can't you just copy files to the transflash card?

The transflash card is small, fragile, not designed for handling, and needs to be put in an SD holder to read in a PC.
All of the non-Verizon phones connect to mobile phone tools, some via Bluetooth, and can upload/download freely. Verizon disabled all that so that you have to pay them 25¢ per photo and who knows what per video.
There is a class action suit in California about that now. However, from MB those features may not be disabled. I don't know. Which is why I am asking.
David
P.S.
I was set to just get the V60is, however it looks like they dropped the V710 price, so this is now an issue.

No, you cannot transfer pics, video, or music via Mobile Phone Tools. You'd have to copy directly to the Transflash card. Yes, that sucks. The only thing Mobile Phone Tools does with the V710 is synchronize calendar and contacts.
Also, the Transflash card reads very slowly. So, keep your pics small.

Of course the class action suit is in California. In NJ, you have gangs that kill someone for looking at someone the wrong way. In California, we have lawyers that sue people for that same thing.
