Electronic Limiter on Seat Front height?
I have W211 with Active Ventilated seats. For some reason my seat bottom does not go up far enough under my knees as I would like. I would like to have it go up higher on both seats at the front.
I have driven a couple other E320's and 500's and their seats seem to go up further (under the knees) in relation to the back. The only difference between my seats and these other cars is that I have ventilated seats.
I know that there is an electronic limiter limiting the seat from going back a certain distance, does anyone know if there is such a limiter placed on how high it goes at the front.
Before I take the car in I would like to know as I am sure the service advisor will say it is impossible.
Thanks.

As far as I know there is no way to change this-when you normalize the seat motors, you are setting the maximum travel for the motors. The maximum travel for the motors is determined by how far the seat adjuster can move. So unless there is something wrong with the seat-you cannot change this.
Actually, some of the seat movement parameters are set from the factory and can be changed, due to safety? From what I understand, if you sign a release form, they will adjust the limiters to certain settings (like how far back the seat goes).
Good luck.
Good luck.
