W211 Lowering Question
I'm shopping around for lowering springs for my car, and have came across a few places offering Eibach springs. They claim it will lower the front by 1.4" and rear by 1.6". Why the difference? Is the stock rear higher? I don't want to end up with my nose sticking up looking like an off roader.
How are these Eibach springs compared to H&R and other?
Thanks.

Eibach is supposed to have not as harsh as a ride as the H&R and not lower it as much. I put the Eibach on my fiance's car C280 and the ride is great - she has not complained once about it being to harsh. My neighbor has a C36 with the H&R springs on it and he is not happy with the ride as compared to ours. He says it too stiff for his taste and can feel every little bump.
I had the H&R C/O set up on my audi S4 and they were great and stiff but I drove that car like i stole it. God I miss that car.
I and my fiance are very happy with the Eibachs

I think the tire's profile would also count for the harsher ride in the C36.
Now the task is to find a nearby place to install them. I got a quote of almost $600 to install the Eibach (springs included of course), and I got the feeling that's on the high end.
Thanks for the post.

We have the same wheel tire combo and shocks - 18 inch AMGs (skinny spoke forge the style number). If you were closer I would give you his contact info as he only charged me $300 for the install. Total bargain.
