Can I ask how you figured 43-46 price? Reason I am asking is I want to figure it out if this is a good price to pay for a car optioned like this.

E500, Viper, and other less-fun stuff
Can vary by several thousand depending on the area you're in, but down here I'd say more like $50K. Also varies depending on whether it's a private-party or dealership selling the car (dealers typically ask for a few thousand more).

Edmunds.com has a pretty good estimator (which accounts for your area by ZIP code).

Dealer trade-in value is always the worst number.
In order from lowest number to highest number:

Dealer trade-in
Private party resale
Dealer retail

OK.. well, its ballpark, as used cars can vary. E3 is the old code for "appearance package." 43 would probably be low private party value. So I'd day upper 40's.

Just figure this - you can walk on to any lot in so cal and get 9-10K off a brand new E320, and maybe couple grand less off a E500. Not everyone can do this or knows about this, but it has an effect.

I was going to sell my car a few months ago for about 56K, maybe 54, 55K, Didn't get that far down till I got sad and kept her. But my car is nearly fully loaded, 67K sticker price, plus 6K in mods (of which i was removing 3K). It really depends on your area.

If I were you, I'd call Mark at House of Imports and work out a deal. He can ship the car to you and it will probably still be cheaper than thru a local dealer. Worth an email or call - look for his banner ad.

It's nice to know that brand new E's are discounting 5-10k off easy, this will have a big leverage when time come to negotiating.

I would have assumed so, but you seemed to be surprised by the dealer's offer.
