E500 rips

Just want to say how much I have enjoyed my e500 4Matic since December 04. Got rid of A6 Audi which was great fun but had many problems and a terrible depreciation. Obviously don't know about MB depreciation but I have not had ONE problem with car (knock on wood) and it rips on the road.

More than a couple in my office bldg. have called me out on the great wheels. Anyway, sorry about ramble, happy owner.

WOW.... A happy owner finally speaks up... Not to many posts like yours lately and I'm glad to read about it. I too love my car and have had a near perfect experience with it after one year and over 17,000 miles.

I have had no problems with my E320 CDI. I have not had it long though, only 1500 miles. I get lots of looks and everyone wants to listen to how quite it is. Seems to be the only Mercedes people want to listen to......... Its also interesting filling up at the pump, people are shocked to find out that its a diesel. Expecially here in California. I REALLY enjoy the car though, It has that magic carpet ride.

I too am delighted with my E-500 that now has 1800 miles. Gee, I think it is time to drive to the store again for a loaf of bread. Any excuse to fire it up, but the freezer is full!

This love affair is new and only time (and depreciation) will test its true merits. The beginning, however, sure has been great.

No complaints here either on my 2004 E55 (5500 miles) and 2001 CLK430 (33000 miles)...I've had no major service problems on either car, except with the CLK430's one touch window gremlins and the fluid leak on the E55 (bad gasket fixed under warranty and in 1/2 hour).

Same here - happy W211 E owner before my CLS now. Just a small minor DD seat problem other than that it was an excellect vehicle to me - no complaint at all.

Cheers,

I have to say that at nearly 25,000 miles, no significant problems. Yes I had them bleed the brakes due to some pulsing and had the front ash tray cover replaced for a hairline crack, firmware upgrades for radio cut-out and just had a brake switch replaced but hey if you call these problems then you need to live in the real world.

Very happy customer and the dealer has been outstanding. Wife keeps asking about getting a wagon (I wish the CDI was availble in the estate body here). And yes, especially between 45 and 65 degrees F and the car "rips".

I have an '04 e500 4matic, which arrived in 1/04. It has been in to for service 3 times already, the 4th upcoming, when back-ordered parts arrive. I love the car, but am extremely disappointed with the problems. On smooth roads, the car handles/drives like a dream. On less smooth roads, I get a rattle from the sunroof, a thump from the rear as well as back rattles. The main concern I have is with a whining/road noise that seems to come from the right rear door area once the car is going over 30 mph. The dealer has not been able to find out what the problem is yet, although they've replaced the rear struts and have ordered new shocks for the rear. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I have an '03 clk 430a (arrived 9/02) which has never been in for any problems, and ironically, has a much better/smoother ride than my e500.

CDI, 8K miles, 0 defects

After multiple BMW's, and a CL, finally a car that works. 2005, E320 CDI.
