E350 Purchasing/Ordering Advice Needed
I'm planning on purchasing a 2006 E350 for my wife, but none of the four dealers in the Houston area will budge off MSRP so I'm interested in learning about the best way to find a dealer willing to sell an ordered vehicle at, near or below invoice pricing.
Here's the car spec'd out as she wants it with MSRP / Invoice (7% under MSRP) pricing shown in parentheses. I recognize that I'll probably need to order this vehicle because I know from dealer inventory searches that not many are available with full leather but without the premium package. However, that's the way the boss wants it.
• 2006 E350 RWD Sedan w/Destination ($50,770 / $47,267)
• Exterior Color: Pewter Metallic ($680 / $632)
• Interior: Charcoal Leather ($1,500 / $1,395)
• Sunroof Package ($1,550 / $1,442)
• Total Equipped Vehicle before TT&L: $54,500 MSRP / $50,736 Invoice
I'm willing to deal with an out-of-state dealer but don't want to get jerked around (e.g. negotiate a deal over the phone and then travel to the dealer only to find out that they want to layer on a bunch of dealer-specific charges or that the vehicle is a demo). I also want the car to be truly "new" (i.e. fewer than 15 miles on the odometer).
I have never used a broker before, but am willing to do so if I can find one who's reputable.
Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

When I bought mine the dealer gave me carsdirect.com pricing, no negotiation needed. I just checked there and price with your spec is $50636 in So Cal area (zip 92612). Most likely they will send you to house of imports in Buena Park for that price. If you need to know a internet sales contact PM me, I can recommend you mine. great fellow.

Go through the Costco Auto Purchase Program
At least here in Southern California, it was $2000 below the invoice price up front just a few weeks ago. It didn't matter which model it was or if it was in the inventory or ordering. Give it a try.

Good luck with that, I tried to get a brand new benz, and the dealer won't bulge at all since it's the only dealer I have in entire state of NM. That doesn't give me an advantage.
