Aftermarket Warranty
Looking for aftermarket warranty on the S500. Because some of you don't frequent the W220 section...thought I'd post it here too for suggestions.

Warranty other than Mercedes
I oriiginally thought that it was very risky to purchase a warranty from other than the manufacturer not only due to the potential "out of business risk", but the fine print "we don't really cover that because it was raining."
When I picked up my car the F&I man told me that there are several other warranty companies that he has used for his clients that been good performers. Aside from the fact that there is commission involved, it was interesting that he would other suggest other than the Mercedes warranty. I was sort of "a friend of the owner", so I do not think it was just the standard bs.
Look for a MB dealers recommended warranty company and actually read the contract.

Price difference between MB and 3rd-party extended warranty
With the recent price increase for MB extended warranty, I would not be surprised if MB dealers started to push 3rd-party alternatives.
