Rear monitors
I am wanting to fit 1 or may be 2 rear video monitors on my E320 (W211)
It has the comand 2.5 .system
Does any body know if the unit as any external RGB sockets or simular to connect the VDU .
I do know that once connected, the rear view has to be switched on by the STAR DIAGNOSE SYSTEM at a MB.

you do NOT have a comand 2.5 in your W211...if you had a comand 2.5 it would have been a lot easier to connect video in/out.
Depending on the building date of your W211, your comand might have a connector for the original mercedes rear monitor OR might NOT have that connector (unless the car comes equiped with TV from factory - then it does have that connector required for the rear monitor).
If your comand has the connector required for the rear monitor - you can easily add the original mercedes rear monitor.
If you want to connect aftermarket headrest monitors to the DVD player in the comand - then it will be cheaper to start thinking about a different setup as such an adapter costs 8-900 euro.
