Passenger side mirror...
Hi all,
Today I noticed that my passenger side mirror has a crack on the side turn signal cover, ie, the plastic/glass strip facing the front of the car that covers the side turn signals. My question is, can I replace this cover WITHOUT having to buy the whole side mirror? If so, are there any places online (other than the dealer) that I can get this? Secondly, how do I take off this cover?

I doubt the dealer would replace it under warranty given that this isn't something that broke by itself (ie, a rock on the freeway, parking lot hit, etc). Thanks for the suggestion though.

The mirror and the cover are 2 separate pieces. Trust me, you don't want to have to pay for the mirror mechanism. I had to replace one of those on a W202 and it was expensive. If your turn signal repeater is not cracked there are chrome covers that just cover the colored plastic. That is if you don't mind having the chrome mirror covers. If you go that route, there are chrome covers for the indentations behind the door handles that would carry the chrome theme.

Thanks for the info. Just to be clear as to what I want to replace, it is the plastic/glass looking cover that covers the turn signals on the side mirrors. It is only the strip of glass/plastic, not the entire side mirror cover.
