Check the feedback on the sellers - alot of guys have said that the "AMG STYLE" wheels are made in China and are garbage.

If you want quality replica wheels, I would definately recommend velocitymotoring.com ... they also sell on ebay.... They are of good quality and light as well.

Arrow Ongoing question

This resurfaces all the time on the forums.

If for reasons of cost (and what other reason could there be??) you are considering aftermarket wheels that duplicate the style of MBZ wheels, I'd suggest at least sticking with name brands. The ones Tire Rack sells are all of acceptable quality and they have several that copy the popular MBZ styles and I think Luke (in the tire/wheel forum) has a post about how to order them for a group discount rate.

Even if you decide to buy them elsewhere (including E-bay), please ensure that you're getting a good aftermarket brand. Remember, there is truth in these complementary old adages, "you get what you pay for" and "you pays your money and you takes your chances". After all, you can drop a C-body on a Chevette -- and it will look the part -- but it's still going to be a Chevette.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Guys I recently joined the aftermarket authentic wheels business, I am telling you guys right now. If the replica wheels are not made by moven, chinawheel, they are C R A P! The chrome will peel, the wheels will CRACK! 1 minor pothole and u got a big problem!

Should be careful however, even though the Moven wheels are good quality replicas, they are not hubcentric. Also for the E500 / E55, since they have the big brakes, it won't fit properly.

You want to get rims that are hubcentric. Do a search and find out more about hubcentric wheels. They simply are wheels that are made to fit exactly without a spacer. Spacer are adapters needed to fit your replica wheel onto your car's hub. Using a spacer is not always good, since the wheel wasn't made to exact fit of your car. I have heard stories about vibration on the steering wheel, un-even tread wear when using spacers.

If you're lookin' to save money, go for a NAME brand replica. If you want to ensure you get 110% quality, go with a real thing.

What kinda budget are we lookin' at? From the looks of the eBay, 1000$ just on wheels alone. I think I can get you authentic AMG's for that much! Not a lot of different styles, but I know I can. Send me an e-mail and I'll get some price quotes for you.
