19 inch rims + airmatic suspension = ?
With 19 inch rims and using the lowest drop on my stock airmatic suspension (e320 sport) how bad would the wheel gap be?
Anyone have any pics of this setup? Should I go up to 20?

I don't think the wheel gap is that much. IIRC, on a friends car, the wheel gap was perfect (read: almost nothing). He was running PS2's in 245/35/19F and 275/30/19R.
What kinda wheels are you lookin' at?

I was wondering the same thing. I have 20s and the gap is bearable. Not sure about 19s though. I always thought lowering would look much nicer. Would like to see pics though without lowering.

Wheel gap should be the same regardless of the rim diameter. The larger the rim, the lower profile tires you need to run. The end result should be nearly identical overall wheel/tire diameters. If you run larger wheels and tires just to fill the gap, you will cause more problems than you solve. You start messing with gearing, spedometer, odometer, ABS, etc. If you want to reduce the gap, lower the car, don't enlarge the wheel.

Stock rims where .. 16 inc rims.w with 225/45 series tire.. the major difference is that you feel much more of the road...
I tried on some 20's on my car.. the tire was to small.. as it is.. 30 series is small tire..

Ick. Thanks for posting a visual primer on how not to mod your W211. There isn't a single thing done to that poor car that doesn't look ridiculous or worse. Somebody obviously likes the look, though, or they wouldn't have paid the serious money involved in that dubious enterprise. Just goes to show how taste in cars is a very personal thing.
