The Next E-class Beyond The W211 Design
hello everyone I'm new to this site. I was wondering if anyone knows when the next redesign of the E-CLASS would be? The current model has been for sale since 2002-2003. Do you think it will be by 2007 or after. As many replies as possible will be greatly appreciated. Than you.

It will be a 2009 model most likely released end of 2008. There are a lot of threads on this topic.

Lots of threads and speculation. Some photoshop "pictures" of prototypes but don't believe what you see at this point. If the "new E" looks anything like the mocked-up pictures I've seen I'm keeping my current 211 forever!

Your guess is as good as mine, if not better, but assuming a seven-year W211 generation (same as the W210 generation), wouldn't the W212 (or whatever) appear as a 2010 model? Even if it does, it might appear in early-to-mid-2009. Didn't the W211 debut in mid-2002?

I wouldn't expect new E-classes to be on the US market until mid or late '08 as '09 models.. MB body styles are good for 7 year or more usually.

The front is ok...the back is boring (ala Audi). If that photoshop is the new design, I'll stick to the W211 bodystyle.

Mercedes all the way!
those two are photochops of the CLS, mixed with a bit of different other cars. rear lights seem to be from B-class, front lights probably reshaped from current E-class's. if it really looks like tt, i think it's quite nice actually -- although like someone said, the back's quite boring.

dun think it looks like GS at all -- much more sharp!

well for sure, they are getting rid of SBC. it won't be on the new S Class.

I still don't like it... I don't like the CLS and I don't like this one. They're getting a bit too Chrysler LHS looking!
