Please don't comment on things that are beyond your knowledge.

A discharge in bankruptcy discharges virtually ALL unsecured debts AND wipes out judgment liens. There are a few very limited exceptions, most of which require the creditor who believes he/she has grounds for contesting the discharge to take affirmative and immediate steps to challenge the discharge of his/her debt. If not, even that debt is discharged.

Creditors that ignore the automatic stay and bankruptcy discharge often end up paying the discharged debtor a money judgment for damages.

So no, you can't take someone's property or paycheck if they file bankruptcy.

And going back ON TOPIC, while I won't disclose the details of our PM thread, I'm also wondering how things are going.

Take care and toss us an update,

Sorry for not posting for so long guys. Here's a quick update: I got in touch with Johnny after I called his business and threatened that I would get them involved as well if he does not call me back since he used their address to ship them, their phone to call me and their email to communicate. Johnny called right back and started giving me the whole song and dance about how he didn't like the wheels and I didn't return his call (the call just said "I got the wheels, give me a call") so he decided to declare the money orders stolen and take justice into his own hands... Anyway, long story short I agreed to have him ship me the wheels at my own cost. However, he said he did not have the tires anymore. Bummer Johnny, you really ****ed up. Long story short he wanted to negotiate a lower price (down from $2500) and he started by saying he wants about $1500 (for new tires - why would I pay for that? and another $850 to reface the wheels - whaaat?). Anyway, we settled on $500 off so he basically gets the wheels for $2000. Still no money yet so we'll see. In any case, the guy is a moron, the way he handled the whole thing was so childish and immature. I hope it works out and I get the $2000.... I'll keep you posted.

With all the headaches this clown has caused you I can't believe that you aren't gonna show-up un-announced at his workplace and demand that you and him "go for a ride".He either pays you the $2,500.00 ( he lost the $500.00 you negotiated on your plane fare ) or you leave there with your wheels - end of story.

This is very interesting ...... let me propose something:

I may be interested in these wheels you sold him, depending on how they look. How about you give me his info and I will "attempt" to recover these wheels for you by possibly paying him a visit....... and if I like the wheels, I can just buy them from you. Let me know what you think

Sorry that you believe that you needed to take a loss. You really should have spoken with daddy Doung . . . it's his business that was called into question. In light of his municipal contracts, I think a check for the full amount would have been forthcoming.

I know what you guys are saying. I just want this thing to be over though. The guy acted in the worst possible way and I could have screwed him really bad but it's really not worth my time, energy etc. What pisses me off is he acts like nothing happened (in terms of cancelling the money orders, losing the tires etc) and pretended $5500 wheels and tires for $1000. As I said, I hope I get the $2K and avoid the hassle of sending every official and their mother to the family's waste disposal business. Hmm, now that I'm saying it maybe it't not such a bad idea ...

Just give Daddy Duong a call and tell him that his family member Junior Dong's good deed. He'll probably cough it up to avoid investigation.

This is Johnny Duong and this is so one sided. First of all, If i wanted to scam this guy I would have been smart enough to not use my company email and shipping address. Secondly I would have used a fake name. Why the hell would I do that for???? Here is my side of the story::::::

I had agreed to buy these used wheels which were suppose to be:

1) used but not bent or cracked
2) tires still had about 60-70% thread on them
3) suppose to fit on my CLK 430 1999

When I got the package and opened it.... Oh my God!!!!
the wheels were all bent badly and one of them had a crack
plus all the damn tires were not usable (meaning bald). Why
even send the tires if they were not usable???????
So I called him and never got a return call for days.....
What the hell I'm I suppose to do now??? This guy must be
playing me cause now he's got my money and gave me ****
that wasn't as described on our correspondence emails. So
he left me no choice but to stop payment until I hear from him.
After days he didn't call me I thought I got ****ed and had no
choice but to send them to the shop for repairs which cost me
175 per wheel plus new tires which I did not ask for him to pay.
Honestly, If I wanted to take his **** and not pay him I could have
and he wouldn't be able to do jack ****... but I'm not that type of person
and instead offered to take a loss of 500 just to cover some of my repairs.
All because I just don't have time for this kind of petty bull****.
I'm a straight business man that respects good business but also don't
tolerate **** like this over some god damn petty ****. Thank God the one thing that was right was that it actually fit on my car.... Our family is well known for doing good business and helping our communities not trying to
jack people over some messily couple hundred dollars..... I don't blame all of you posters on here cause you all were just hearing one side of the story....

Thanks for reading... I just had to post this comments cause I wanted people to know the truth...

. Move on with life. In the end, you got yourself a set of free wheels.

Unfortunately, I do cause it hurts my reputation and the reason why I didn't post before is because I didn't have time to play these stupid games with him. Instead rather use my time to help my community grow.

How did I get a free set of wheels???????? I end up paying 2000 plus repairs and
new tires which is almost the cost of a new set. How does that benefit me????

Well, with 5 posts since 2007, I'm not sure what type of reputation, if any, you think you have on this forum. I don't think most members know you.

You cancel the check, so that means you didnt pay anything out of pocket at all. For all we know you could have just sold the wheels and made money off of it. No one forced you to repaired the wheels and buy new tires for it. Take Vic advice!!!!!!
