I 've finally found a set of clear bumper lens for my W211 wagon. There are still some left on eBay. Thought you all might be interested in getting a set

"pair of hight quality" Don't you love the "hight". Also the "Euro Clear Lamp-Bumper Lamp" since the W211 doesn't have this light in Europe.

They definately aren't oem. look at my sig for true MB Euro lenses .. there aren't any. I'd recommend you get the new strips like I have- clear lenses on a MB will look trashy

can you please describe in a bit more detail what you did with the light which was originally there?? You cannot just unplug it as this will give you an error message. Do you just tuck it inside the bumper? Any problems with over heatingt??

I actually like the stock yellow/orange markers. More JDM.

Question clear lens

How does one remove the amber lens and replace it with this clear lens? I'm interested but don't want to screw up. Thanks,

As has already been posted, this is not a European feature. I am curious though about your 'lighting regulations'. Is it okay to have clear flashing lights instead of amber? This would certainly be illegal in the UK.

Regards,
John

clear lens but amber bulb, or amber bulb with a silver coating to appear white when not on

This happens a lot over here, so can I undrstand then that it would indeed be illegal to have a 'white' flashing light?

No white flashing (trun signals) in the front or front sides of ther cars. The light must appear yellow however that is accomplished. Rear turn signals can be Red or Yellow, but sideways visible lights on rear fenders, must appear red from the sides.

This way it is possible from a night time sideways view, one could tell which way a car was pointed if it were not moving, just by the color of the lights one could see.

A lot of people driving rice burners have started putting blue bulbs in front & rear turn signals... not realizing that blue light scatters more easilly than other colors and is more difficult to see, and that blue lights near red taillights are visually jarring & very hard on the eyes. To many people the image actually becomes out of focus.
